IDEA
POTE Architects was founded in 2015. For our seat we chose the Granary Island in Gdańsk – a characteristic and unique place with a rich history. We want the first two of these features to also describe our projects. Therefore, we seek a specific idea and character in everything we get down to.
Each task is a challenge whose ultimate goal is to find the perfect balance of composition and functionality. This is the foundation on which we build every project. We see each order as a new context in which we seek a keystone, the basis of the idea. Matching structures, surfaces, colours and materials so long till we get a fresh, coherent and timeless concept. We take the main piece out of it, the carrier on which we build the entity – the object's form as well as the interior design details. An individually designed, minimalist detail is the deepest essence of our projects, overcoming all – from building facade details to the smallest pieces of furniture. In addition to emotions, each concept is designed to meet the need for harmony, which is why the principles of good proportion, weight and counterweight accompany us at all stages of design. We use natural materials that best reflect timeless aesthetics.
We always aim to make our projects reflect the needs of the client, who is looking for an individual and well-thought-out approach. That is why our creative search covers many areas of broadly understood design art - from urban planning, architecture, through interior and furniture design, to graphics. The POTE team consists of creative, challenge-seeking people with considerable experience in the field of residential architecture, public utilities, industrial, interior, retail and hotel industry design as well as 3D visualization.
